COMLEX-USA Scoring

The number of test questions answered correctly (the raw score) in each Level of COMLEX-USA is converted to a standard score, which is then used to determine a pass/fail designation.

For COMLEX-USA Level 1, this pass/fail designation is provided instead of a numeric score.

  • Passing Score for Level 2-CE – 400
  • Passing Score for Level 3 – 350

Except for unscored pretest questions, each test question contributes equally to your exam score.  The model-based standard score considers the response to each question and the psychometric properties of the examination.

For COMLEX-USA Level 1 and Level 2-CE, school summary reports provide information on candidate performance at the school level compared to the national performance.
