Another important milestone for the 2025 transition to residency cycle included the use of multiple application services for applicants in securing residency positions.  The NBOME is a proud partner with ResidencyCAS and CentralApp, providing services to more than 600 DO applicants to positions in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Plastic Surgery Integrated, and Anesthesiology in this year’s Match.

“This year’s Main Residency Match marks a milestone of continued success for the graduate medical education community as a record number of applicants and residency training programs matched,” says NRMP President and CEO Donna L. Lamb, DHSc, MBA, BSN.

This year’s final placement rates, including results for the Match Week Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program SOAP for applicants who were unmatched by the matching algorithm, will be available in the 2025 Main Residency Match Report from the NRMP later this spring. In 2024, 98.5 percent of DO seniors placed into positions through the Match and SOAP, above all applicant types.

The NBOME congratulates all the DOs who matched or placed into positions in the NRMP Main Match or through SOAP and those who placed in other matching programs (Military, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, and Urology). We wish them continued success on their Road to DO Licensure.
